Updating is Updating

My father and I are the same, ruthless when angry and then easily guilt struck. Hopefully some things dilute with age. Anyway, I hit my index finger on a wall (I don't even remember how..) and now the fingernail hurts and the dark line is slightly returning...

I should be doing math homework right now and preparing for my quiz tomorrow. Instead, I spent today nomming on barbeque potato chips and watching movies. I watched "Letters to Juliet" and "Heartbreak Library". The first one was OK, and the second one was actually pretty good. I personally thought Charlie was a good character probably because of his British accent, ahaha. He seemed like he changed his mind really quickly a lot though, fickle they call it? Lee Dong Wook was just extremely precious in "Heartbreak Library" though, he and the gorgeous Eugene, along with the unconventionality (is that even a word..?) of the love story just really sold it for me.

Also, it made librarians seem really cool. Or maybe it's just in that it's more of a pro seeming job everywhere but in the U.S.? Actually, I'm just lacking knowledge in the expertise and job description of librarians, aren't I?

I've been trying to heal my fingers from my "cannibal biting", but it's a really slow process. I hope I haven't permanently damaged the nailbed from all the trauma that I inflicted upon it.

Just read the recap for Lie to Me episode 3. I hope it picks up soon, I think that the next episode will be more exciting.

Everybody hurts just a little too much

(blossomworld)

In order to celebrate the end (WOO! :D) of my AP tests, I decided that rather than just staying home, possibly watching dramas and doing nothing in particular, that it would be nicer to spend the day out with friends and catch a movie. I was browsing Barnes and Noble's website the other day for books and found out that "Something Borrowed", which I read last winter had a trailer preview available. Googling it, I saw that it had just released. And that, is how Salma, Melissa, and I ended up at the movie theater this weekend.

It was an OK movie, the book was better (as in most cases). In my opinion, the movie made the romance between Rachel and Dex seem really shallow, but I did read the book last year, and so as it's not completely fresh in my mind, the romance actually might have been in the book as well, I dunno.

We took really weird photobooth photos (next time will be better, hopefully..I didn't know that they timed the photos!), which came out that way in part because of my awkward facial expressions and in part because of the, excuse my language because this word fits best, shitty quality of the camera. I might have added to that with the huge scar on my chin from the breakout that I had a couple of weeks ago... :(

My mom lost my apple earbuds with the microphone on them, and so I haven't been able to Skype call (by the way, Microsoft purchased Skype and is now going to call it MS Skynet? Has anyone else heard about this?) Salma. She doesn't remember taking them because she thinks that the similarly colored ones she returned to me are them. I think I'll have to buy new ones, they just aren't turning up...

Oh! I forgot to mention, but after the movie we went to my house to have lunch. It felt kind of awkward because I don't think I was that good of a host...Salma's pretty much used to my house, but I think Melissa found it boring sans my enthusiastic and conversational little brother. Mom made lunch and we had Bengali style tacos, fried shrimp, samosas, and hand made fries.

The End, this is a pretty long update, ahaha. :)
